THE DEMOLITION PROCESS
The Landscape Company and our contract partners have done many projects salvaging work begun by other companies. We’ve learned from others’ experiences and we’ve applied that knowledge to develop a unique approach that will protect you and your project.
Here are two problems we’ve often remediated. Hopefully, by sharing our experience you can learn things to look for.
Drainage -Installing too little or none at all!
Fill - Using incorrect rubble to backfill, and/or using FREE dirt that will not accommodate proper compaction
These and other problems were usually caused by well-intended contractors who lacked experience. We can show you how we prevent other potential problems when we meet.
Our unique program has 12 important steps. We include a few below that elevate us among pool removal professionals.
If have any questions regarding an existing pool or if you'd like to discuss your options, please give us a call at (858) 275-6300 or submit a request for an estimate at James Construction's website by clicking the link here.
Before and After Images of Projects we Proudly Completed
Regulations for pool demolitions in San Diego county vary from city to city. The Landscape Company pool demo process accommodates these varying requirements and works for all cities.
Phase 2 of the demo process is the most crucial for the removal of your existing pool. We take the time to discuss the next phase of your project to determine how much of the pool or spa needs to be demolished.
If you want to plant grass, install synthetic turf, or pavers, these are need-to-know details so we can properly prepare the area for additional products.
If you wish to build a structure, like a room addition, the process becomes more extensive and requires a fresh approach.
We have the experience to help you design the perfect landscape that will not only replace the pool, but make your new space enjoyable too!
When we start the demolition process, we do a few initial tasks that get your project ready and protected.
We set up a portable toilet for our work force to use during the project.
We unload all of the equipment, secure the area with caution cones and tape to keep the workplace safe for everyone, including your neighbors.
We install storm water prevention items to help manage run off water and to protect city storm drains. This important project step helps avoid fines and environmental accidents.
Clean Up & Final InspectioN
The last step is to clean up your project and secure a time for final inspection. Our crew is thorough during the cleaning of the job site and finalizing the project. During the cleanup phase, we schedule the final inspection to finalize the project. All inspection documentation is given at final payment. That’s it, the project is complete!
